There is beauty. There is burning.
NEXT EXHIBITION is in TORONTO, September 2019 at Bau-Xi Gallery
A Few Favourites
Thanks for visiting. Let me tell you a bit about my work.
My work focuses on the changeable relationship we have with nature. Loving and destroying in the same breath. The darkness of the human psyche underlies many of my overtly positive and uplifting nature scenes. Oceans and forests are idealized, radiating an inner light that burns. This heightened effect corresponds to our own yearning for more, wanting to be at one with nature, to control it, to be moved by it, to tame it.
These mixed media paintings blur the lines of realism and experience, photography and painting.

BRAIN PROJECT JUROR 2018
I was on the curatorial team for "The Brain Project". A city-wide outdoor art exhibit, featuring a variety of brain sculptures designed by a talented group of artists, celebrities and thought-leaders from across North America.
Through The Brain Project, awareness and much-needed funds are raised for brain health in support of Baycrest, a global leader in Alzheimer's and dementia research.
The last 2 years I was a participant in painting one of the brain sculptures.
